Sahika Riley, MPAS, PA-C, Founder

Sahika Riley is Physician Assistant (PA-C) who is a 9-1/2 year Veteran of the United States Air Force. She served overseas during Desert Storm as a Communication/Navigation system specialist for the A-10 aircraft. She spent her second half of her military career as a Physician Assistant in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine where she was the Officer in Charge for Surgical Case reviews and the Assistant Director for the Acute Care Clinic. She holds both a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies with a specialty in Family Medicine and a Bachelor in Medicine from University of Nebraska. She also holds a degree in Respiratory Therapy from Orange Coast College, CA. where she spent most of that career working at a Children’s hospital. PA Riley also began attending Law School while doing medical record reviews for Law Firms in wrongful death and accident law.

Mission statement

Horse Rhythm Foundation (HRF) is committed to excellence by offering highly specialized Equine Assisted Services (EAS), Outdoor Therapies (OT), and Wellness for Veterans, First Responders and their families suffering from war time afflictions, mental health disorders, and physical disabilities.

The foundation provides EAS and OT in an effort to bridge the gap between traditional healing methodologies and true whole-being wellness of the mind, body, and spirit.  HRF will provide transitional-homeless shelters as a broad-based collaborative community initiative for Veterans and First Responders while undergoing these therapies.

Horse Rhythm Foundation, Inc. (HRF) is a 501(c)3 Non-profit organization.  HRF was founded by disabled war veterans providing Equine Assisted Services (EAS) as a broad-based collaborative community initiative that recognizes and honors the intrinsic value of our military soldiers, law enforcement agencies, firefighters and their families.  The foundation provides EAS in an effort to bridge the gap between traditional healing methodologies and true whole-being wellness of the mind, body, and spirit for veterans suffering from war time afflictions, and law enforcement personnel with mental health disorders and physical disabilities.  Horse Rhythm includes in its Equine Assisted Service models; Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) based Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Equine Assisted Learning (EAL); and Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH, Intl).
